The story behind this artwork

The Holy Trinity icon is a type of icon which depicts the Holy Trinity as a single entity in three distinct forms. The icon is often called "the Hospitality of Abraham" because it portrays the hospitality Abraham offered to the three angels with whom he was visited. It is one of the most significant and life-giving icons in Orthodox Christianity because it represents one of the most fundamental doctrines: that God, who exists in three persons without any distinction or separation, is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Museum Standards Technique

These icons are reproduced according to Museum Standards Technique.

22k Gold Leaves

Once the wood panel is cut to the desired dimensions, our crafters carefully apply the 22k Gold Leaves into the prepared surface.

A mounting point is placed at the back of the icon, along with the Certificate of Authenticity and Quality. Each of our icons bears the studio's unique title and logo.

Theme application & final details

Once the 22k Gold Leaves are applied, the Museum Standards technique is implemented. The theme is painted mechanically directly on the prepared surface and our crafters finish the artwork by painting a delicate red border.

The icon goes through quality inspection and then is placed into a case. Finally it is carefully wrapped into our Protection Packaging and is ready to ship! The whole crafting and preparation procedure takes about 4-9 business days from the moment you place your order.
