About the icon
Christmas, The Birth of Jesus Christ
Celebrated on 25 December, the Nativity commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ from the Virgin Mary in Bethlehem. The icon places the Theotokos at the centre beside the Child lying in the manger, with the ox and the ass, while the star shines above the dark cave. Angels glorify God, shepherds receive the good news, the Magi approach with gifts, and Joseph sits apart in thought. It is a cherished icon for the home at Christmas. This Museum Edition faithfully reproduces the icon on a framed panel, its background laid by hand in 22k gold leaf.
This is an authentic icon crafted according to Byzantine technique and style. All parts are made by hand and only the theme is reproduced using Premium Museum Standards Technique.
Once the wood panel is cut to the desired dimensions, our skilled craftsmen meticulously apply the 22 karats Gold Leaves on the background. Then the theme is directly printed on the prepared surface. Finally the icon is placed into a wooden frame with protecting glass resulting to an exquisite work of art.
At the back of the icon, a mounting point is installed, accompanied by our Certificate of Authenticity and Quality. All of our artworks bear the studio’s distinctive title and logo.
A thorough quality inspection takes place before we secure the package with durable protective materials to ensure safe delivery.

Where do I even start 🤩 From the owner himself and his politeness to quality service overall. This was my first icon and came even more beautiful that I've imagined. Shipping was super fast and packaged securely together with a cute little gift. I would recommend everyone to buy from Alex.
