About the icon
The Vine Ampelos and Source of Immortality
In the Gospel of John Christ says, 'I am the vine, you are the branches', for no one bears fruit apart from Him. The Ampelos icon shows the Lord at the centre of a vine, holding the Gospel and blessing, with the twelve apostles in the tendrils around Him. It speaks of the unity of the Church in Christ and of the Eucharist, and is a fitting icon for a family or new home. In this Silver Relief the icon is presented in gold-plated silver relief on a panel.
This is an authentic Silver Plated artwork with Gold details, crafted according to Byzantine technique and style. The theme is reproduced using Advanced Museum Standards Technique.
Once the wood panel is cut to the desired dimensions, our skilled craftsmen meticulously apply the printed theme on the prepared surface and then the Silver Plating, resulting to an exquisite work of art.
At the back of the icon, a mounting point is installed, accompanied by our Certificate of Authenticity and Quality. At the small sized icons a stand is also available. All of our artworks bear the studio’s distinctive title and logo.
A thorough quality inspection takes place before we secure the package with durable protective materials to ensure safe delivery.
