About the icon
The Half-Feast
Halfway between Pascha and Pentecost the Church celebrates the Midfeast, recalling how at the Feast of Tabernacles Christ went up to the Temple and taught, astonishing those who heard Him, and cried out that whoever thirsts should come to Him and drink. The icon shows Christ as a youth seated among the teachers of the Law. The feast falls on the fourth Wednesday after Pascha. This Museum Edition faithfully reproduces the icon on a framed panel, its background laid by hand in 22k gold leaf.
This is an authentic icon crafted according to Byzantine technique and style. All parts are made by hand and only the theme is reproduced using Premium Museum Standards Technique.
Once the wood panel is cut to the desired dimensions, our skilled craftsmen meticulously apply the 22 karats Gold Leaves on the background. Then the theme is directly printed on the prepared surface. Finally the icon is placed into a wooden frame with protecting glass resulting to an exquisite work of art.
At the back of the icon, a mounting point is installed, accompanied by our Certificate of Authenticity and Quality. All of our artworks bear the studio’s distinctive title and logo.
A thorough quality inspection takes place before we secure the package with durable protective materials to ensure safe delivery.

Dust it gently with a soft, dry brush or cloth. Never use water, sprays or cleaning products on the gold or the painted surface.
