About the icon
The Last Supper
On the eve of His Passion, Christ ate the Passover with His twelve disciples, broke bread and blessed the cup, giving them His Body and Blood. The icon shows the apostles gathered at table around the Lord, Saint John leaning on His breast and Judas reaching towards the dish. It is commemorated on Holy Thursday and is traditionally placed above the Royal Doors in churches and often hung in the dining room at home. This Museum Edition faithfully reproduces the icon on a framed panel, its background laid by hand in 22k gold leaf.
This is an authentic icon crafted according to Byzantine technique and style. All parts are made by hand and only the theme is reproduced using Premium Museum Standards Technique.
Once the wood panel is cut to the desired dimensions, our skilled craftsmen meticulously apply the 22 karats Gold Leaves on the background. Then the theme is directly printed on the prepared surface. Finally the icon is placed into a wooden frame with protecting glass resulting to an exquisite work of art.
At the back of the icon, a mounting point is installed, accompanied by our Certificate of Authenticity and Quality. All of our artworks bear the studio’s distinctive title and logo.
A thorough quality inspection takes place before we secure the package with durable protective materials to ensure safe delivery.

Hang the icon from the mounting point on its back, away from direct sunlight, radiators and damp walls. Gold leaf and painted colours keep best in steady, dry conditions.
Dust it gently with a soft, dry brush or cloth. Never use water, sprays or cleaning products on the gold or the painted surface.
After a thorough quality inspection, your icon is placed in its black luxury icon case and secured with durable protective materials for the journey.
