Saint Nicholas of Myra

The Archbishop of Myra & Wonderworker

A fourth-century Archbishop of Myra in Lycia, Nicholas is remembered for his compassion for the poor, his defence of the innocent and his firmness in the faith. His relics were later taken to Bari in Italy, where they are still venerated. Seafarers honour him as their protector. Icons show him as a bishop with the Gospel, sometimes surrounded by scenes from his life. His feast on 6 December is a name day for Nikolaos and Nikoletta. In this Silver Relief the icon is presented in gold-plated silver relief on a panel.

This is an authentic Silver Plated artwork with Gold details, crafted according to Byzantine technique and style. The theme is reproduced using Advanced Museum Standards Technique.

Once the wood panel is cut to the desired dimensions, our skilled craftsmen meticulously apply the printed theme on the prepared surface and then the Silver Plating, resulting to an exquisite work of art.

At the back of the icon, a mounting point is installed, accompanied by our Certificate of Authenticity and Quality. At the small sized icons a stand is also available. All of our artworks bear the studio’s distinctive title and logo.

A thorough quality inspection takes place before we secure the package with durable protective materials to ensure safe delivery.
