Saint Spyridon of Trimythous

The Wonderworker Bishop

Spyridon lived in Cyprus in the fourth century, a married shepherd known for his hospitality, who was chosen as bishop of Trimythous. Tradition holds that at the Council of Nicaea he showed the unity of the Trinity with a clay brick that gave forth fire, water and earth. Icons show him in bishop's vestments with his woven shepherd's cap. His incorrupt relics rest in Corfu, and he is commemorated on 12 December. In this Silver Relief the icon is presented in gold-plated silver relief on a panel.

This is an authentic Silver Plated artwork with Gold details, crafted according to Byzantine technique and style. The theme is reproduced using Advanced Museum Standards Technique.

Once the wood panel is cut to the desired dimensions, our skilled craftsmen meticulously apply the printed theme on the prepared surface and then the Silver Plating, resulting to an exquisite work of art.

At the back of the icon, a mounting point is installed, accompanied by our Certificate of Authenticity and Quality. At the small sized icons a stand is also available. All of our artworks bear the studio’s distinctive title and logo.
