About the icon
The Twelve Great Feasts of the Church
The twelve great feasts trace the story of salvation through the lives of Christ and the Theotokos: among them the Annunciation, the Nativity, Theophany, the Transfiguration, the Entry into Jerusalem, the Ascension and Pentecost. In churches the festal icons run across the iconostasis; at home a full set lets the family follow the church year, bringing each feast's icon forward when its day comes. This Museum Edition faithfully reproduces the icon on a raised panel, its background laid by hand in matte gold leaf.
This is an authentic icon crafted according to Byzantine technique and style. All parts are made by hand and only the theme is reproduced using Advanced Museum Standards Technique.
Once the natural wood panel is cut to the desired dimensions, our skilled craftsmen meticulously apply the Matte Gold Leaves on the background. Then the theme is directly printed on the prepared surface, resulting to an exquisite work of art.
At the back of the icon, a mounting point is installed, accompanied by our Certificate of Authenticity and Quality. At the small sized icons a stand is also available. All of our artworks bear the studio’s distinctive title and logo.
A thorough quality inspection takes place before we secure the package with durable protective materials to ensure safe delivery.

Hang the icon from the mounting point on its back, away from direct sunlight, radiators and damp walls. Gold leaf and painted colours keep best in steady, dry conditions.
Dust it gently with a soft, dry brush or cloth. Never use water, sprays or cleaning products on the gold or the painted surface.
After a thorough quality inspection, your icon is placed in its black luxury icon case and secured with durable protective materials for the journey.
