About the icon
The Righteous Wonderworker Elder
Born in Asia Minor in 1920, Jacob came to Evia as a child with his family among the refugees. He became a monk and priest at the Monastery of Saint David the Elder, where he served as abbot, known for his humility, his love of the Divine Liturgy and his compassion for the suffering who came to him. He reposed in 1991, was glorified by the Ecumenical Patriarchate in 2017 and is commemorated on 22 November. This Gallery Print reproduces the icon on a carved panel with a gold print finish.
This is an authentic icon crafted according to Byzantine technique and style. All parts are made by hand and only the theme is reproduced using Gold Print Technique.
