About the icon
Composite icons gather several themes within one frame so that they can be contemplated together, a practice long known in Orthodox iconography for festal and devotional images. This is an authentic icon crafted according to Byzantine technique and style. All parts are made by hand and only the theme is reproduced using Advanced Museum Standards Technique.
Once the natural wood panel is cut to the desired dimensions, our skilled craftsmen meticulously apply the Matte Gold Leaves on the background. Then the theme is directly printed on the prepared surface, resulting to an exquisite work of art.
At the back of the icon, a mounting point is installed, accompanied by our Certificate of Authenticity and Quality. All of our artworks bear the studio’s distinctive title and logo.

Dust it gently with a soft, dry brush or cloth. Never use water, sprays or cleaning products on the gold or the painted surface.
