Hand-Painted
A 100% handwritten artwork, crafted according to Byzantine technique and style and painted entirely by hand by our iconographers.
The panel
The icon is painted on a wood panel, engraved or flat, in the size you choose.
The ground
The background is prepared first: 24 karat gold leaves, or a blue ground.
The painting
The whole theme is painted by hand. Because every icon is handmade, it may have very slight differences from the photos shown.
The halo
On flat panels with a blue ground, our craftsmen then apply the halo in 24 karat water gilding.
The finish
A mounting point and our Certificate of Authenticity and Quality are installed at the back. Every work bears the studio’s title and logo.
