About the icon
Pascha, The Feast of Feasts
The Resurrection is celebrated at Pascha, the Feast of Feasts. The traditional icon, the Anastasis, shows Christ in radiant garments standing on the broken gates of Hades, grasping Adam and Eve by the hand to raise them, while kings David and Solomon, Saint John the Baptist and the righteous of old look on. Other icons show the myrrh-bearing women at the empty tomb, where an angel announces that Christ is risen. This Gallery Print reproduces the icon on a flat panel with an aged gold foil finish.
This is an authentic icon crafted according to Byzantine technique and style. All parts are made by hand and only the theme is reproduced using Gold Foil Print Technique.
Once the wood panel is cut to the desired dimensions, our skilled craftsmen meticulously apply the theme with the Gold Foil background, resulting to an exquisite work of art.
At the back of the icon, a mounting point is installed, accompanied by our Certificate of Authenticity and Quality. All of our artworks bear the studio’s distinctive title and logo.
A thorough quality inspection takes place before we secure the package with durable protective materials to ensure safe delivery.

I can't say enough about the icons from Agiografia. This icon was absolutely beautiful, and I was stunned by the beautiful gift box that it came in. I know this kind of presentation is standard for Greek businesses, but I'm used to American firms who would charge a heavy premium for a beautiful presentation box like this. I will definitely be ordering from them in the future!
