This was purchased as a gift for my mother. It's a beautiful icon. The gold leaf background and red border give it a premium feel. The wood itself is about an inch thick. Good and sturdy, with a pop out stand at the back so it can be stood up on any surface. There is also a hole at the back for easy wall hanging. Theotokos and Jesus Christ have wonderful detail. The green is an unusual colour for Mary but nice. I personally like the Orthodox icon art style, and will consider buying some icons for myself in future. I went for the 15 x 19 cm, the smallest size on offer, but as you can see in the photo, it's about the size of a standard book cover. This is ideal, in my opinion. I was also pleasantly surprised by how swiftly this product arrived. Thanks, Agiografia!

Crafting & Delivering

Siebdruck Technique
These icons are reproduced according to Siebdruck Technique.
Mattes Blattgold
Once the wood panel is cut to the desired dimensions, our crafters carefully apply the Mattes Blattgold into the prepared surface.
A mounting point is placed at the back of the icon, along with the Certificate of Authenticity and Quality. Each of our icons bears the studio's unique title and logo.
Theme application & final details
Once the Mattes Blattgold are applied, the Siebdruck technique is implemented. The theme is painted mechanically directly on the prepared surface and our crafters finish the artwork by painting a delicate red border.
The icon goes through quality inspection and then is placed into a case. Finally it is carefully wrapped into our Protection Packaging and is ready to ship! The whole crafting and preparation procedure takes about 4-9 business days from the moment you place your order.
